Dot Micro Celebrates over 7 years by opening a new private clinic in the heart of Holywood.
The hair loss industry is big business these days with thousands of people using various solutions of hair loss products daily and that’s just a Northern Ireland. One of the latest up-and-coming offerings is a treatment called scalp micro pigmentation. This is a non medical treatment that treats the medical condition of Androgenetic Alopecia or Male/female pattern hairless as it’s more widely known. In fact scalp micropigmentation (SMP for short) can treat various stages of hair loss, types of alopecia and different types of scalp damage such as scaring.
The treatment involves adding tiny specs of ink/pigment to the skin… repeated thousands of times until the texture and layered pattern resembles hair in it’s different forms. ie shaved hair or it can also add the appearance of density to thinning hair for men and women alike.
Northern Ireland has a limited number clinics that are truly dedicated to solving hair loss. But Mark Smith of Dot Micro in Holywood is hoping to change all of that.. so that hair loss is no longer taboo and in fact finally has a solid successful treatment that really works in its own right.
